When hotel stays are few and far between, it can be critical to pick the right one. It’s hard to give up the comfort of home without comparable amenities that make it worth the cost. Finding a suitable hotel that meets all of your needs for any type of traveler can be cumbersome. Doing this as a vanlifer, especially one with a large dog poses even more challenges. We can all agree that as a vanlifer, parking is always a concern. Is it a garage with low clearance? Are they compact spaces? Is the lot already full? Is it valet? Will we have to park a half-mile from the room? The answer to all of these questions at Wall Street Suites is a resounding NO. And makes this hotel THE perfect Bend Oregon hotel stay. There are a limited number of rooms available and each has a designated parking spot. Have you ever heard such beautiful words?

What I am telling you, is that no matter what time you roll into town, or how many errands or activities you have planned for the day, you’ll always have that *perfect spot* waiting for you when you return. Bonus, there is no parking covering which means your solar will be soaking in the power of the sun, pending the sun’s appearance in the PNW, that is. So while you relax indoors, you won’t have to worry about your rig running out of juice.

Yes, even more good news about parking. The set-up of the parking lot to the rooms means your home-on-wheels is parked just steps from your hotel room. We’ve all experienced the “oh no, I left that in the van” and had to brave the elements and distances (and why is always in the dark?) walking back to the van to retrieve the laptop, dog food, Invisalign trays… you know the deal. But not at Wall Street Suites. We didn’t even pack! Whenever we need something we just pop out to the van, no problem! Honestly, you can’t ask for more.

SPACIOUS & CLEAN

This room was so clean when we arrived that we were convinced we were the first guests to ever stay in it. The kitchen, the towels, the carpet – EVERYTHING was spotless. One thing your tiny home likely doesn’t offer you is multiple rooms to spread out, and a FULL-SIZE BATHROOM AND SHOWER. With a living room area, kitchen dining area, and separate bedroom and full-size bathroom, it made it so easy to relax without being on top of each other. The dog had enough space to stretch out, and so did we.

There are hotels that accept dogs, and then there are hotels that welcome dogs. Wall Street Suites welcomes them! Waiting for us in our room was a welcome card customized with Junior’s name on it, food & water bowls, a dog bed & blanket just for him, and a furniture blanket so he could join us on the couch and bed. You could tell the thoughtfulness that went into welcoming our furry guy and making him feel right at home.

Not only were there in-room amenities, but there is also a dog park on property! Having a safe space for your dog to get out the zoomies knowing you aren’t bothering other guests or breaking hotel rules is an amazing feeling. And in case your dog isn’t getting enough steps walking around downtown or on many of the hikes near Bend, it’s a great spot for them to run around without having to go out of your way.

FULL KITCHEN

One amenity that is a MUST when staying out of your tiny home and in a hotel is a full kitchen. You’re used to having everything you need when you travel, and you’re already spending money on a hotel, it’d be nice to at least be able to cook your own food! Wall Street Suites had everything you could possibly need to prepare a meal. Pots, pans, knives, baking sheets, and a gas stove and oven! Oh, and a dishwasher! The luxury!

Now, in the event you want to visit one of the many delectable restaurants or are hitting up the ale trail, don’t fret! Having a full-size fridge to store your beers and leftovers was a dream. In fact, they fit better in the hotel fridge than they do in the van.

WALKABILITY TO DOWNTOWN

We know we talked quite a bit about the hotel parking which may make you feel like you should drive everywhere… but that doesn’t make parking downtown any easier. And don’t even get me started on the price of gas! Luckily, downtown Bend does have several parking spots available for 2-3 hour periods for free, your best bet is always going to be walking!

Wall Street Suites is less than a 10 minute walk to multiple breweries, restaurants, even an ax throwing one. Bend has so much to offer downtown and with it being so walkable, it’s a blessing to not have to find a parking spot to fit your rig every two hours. Plus, you can visit even more breweries when you don’t have to worry about driving later!

FUN PERKS

Another fun perk at Wall Street Suites is the outdoor fire pit! If you’re feeling like you just aren’t ready for the night to end, you can socialize outside with other guests and pups. The gas fire pit is surrounded by laid-back adirondack chairs for your relaxing pleasure. Breakout the s’mores and you’ve got yourself a good time!

If you prefer to stay inside, for a little extra there are packages for you, too! We opted for the Movie Night Snack Pack which comes with popcorn, candies, and sodas. It was a fun treat after a day of exploring downtown Bend! Should you be looking for something a touch more romantic, there is a Bend is for Lovers package with beer or wine and a bouquet of flowers… ooo la la!

No matter what type of stay you’re looking for, Wall Street Suites makes for the perfect Bend Oregon hotel stay.

You can also opt to spoil your dog instead with the Dog Package 2.0. Comes with a toy, a travel water bowl, and a coupon at a local bathouse for a spa day! And if you do choose that one, we hope your dog likes baths more than ours does.

REASONABLE PRICING

Of course, it always comes down to price. Hands down we would say that staying at Wall Street Suites is worth the cost! With all the upsides, it’s clearly not going to be the cheapest place to spend the night. You can check rates for your dates, and you can save a little if you don’t need the full kitchen or aren’t planning to bring your pet. Of course, once your dog finds out how much fun you’re going to have in Bend without them, they’ll never forgive you!

This is probably more information than you’ve ever wanted to know about a hotel, but as we mentioned, it’s hard to give up the comforts of home without knowing what you’re getting into! Wall Street Suites felt more like a home-away-from-home for the two nights we stayed and we were sad to say goodbye!
